need some advice on socket 478

basically, thing is that I was an early adopter on Radeon 9100 IGP, grabbing the Asus P4800-VM within a week of it shipping to retailers. Now, the board is ... well... on it's way out, but due to my tendancy to avoid Intel platforms with a passion I don't have any other socket 478 boards on hand...

Extra Power supply for EQ3801-m

heya's, couldn't figure a better forum to put this in. Anyways, some time ago I picked up Solteks EQ3801 SFF system. At that time, Soltek hadn't launched the 300watt PS, so I'm stuck at 250 watts. While this is enough power for even an X800 Pro, it is NOT enough power for a Radeon 9800...

Need some help with mobile A64

Bar : I tried, even updating to the most recent version off Asus's site. The board sees it as an Athlon64 Mobile 280 and locks down to 800mhz. That's after clearing the Bios. When I hit save and reset, the board will no longer post. AT ALL.

the CPUZ data shows it's the 1meg L2 cache. thanks for the threaded link though. *** edit... and slight issue. I have one of the boards that's supposed to work. I got news. the Asus K8V Deluxe DOES NOT BOOT OR CORRECTLY RECOGNIZE THE A64-M 2800 L2 1 MEG CACHE.

CATALYST 4.9 Beta drivers for doom 3

Just want to add my 2cents... personally I would have rather liked a new set of WinXp 64 drivers that Enable OGL so I could play D3 on ATi products without having to drop back to Win2k Pro. In any case, as to the drivers themselves, I don't see much difference when actually playing Doom3 even...

Question on Soldner

Really depends on how you grade the graphics... Soldner is an extremely realistic game, and the weather affects do play a large role in the game, but there are a few cavets I will note. Soldner is heavily optimized for Nvidia cards. You'll get noticably smoother framerate with Nvidia...
