I don't need a super powerful server for my needs. The server would simply handle Exchange Server and would be a file server for 3-5 people. I'm still weighing all my options.
I've been building my own desktops for years, so I am comfortable building PCs, but now I wonder if it would be smarter to build my own rack mounted server instead of buying one from Dell. I'm getting ready to upgrade my side-business into a full fledged business in it's own office, so I'm...
Just Windows XP. The entire process I need to automate is:
- Download ZIP file from FTP weekly.
- Unzip ZIP file on local machine.
- Copy unzipped data (CSV file) from local machine to SQL database.
- Upload images from unzipped file to remote FTP server.
What is the best software to automatically schedule a download from an FTP site, and then automatically unzip the downloaded file? I am working on a web application for real estate listings and the data is updated weekly on an FTP site. I'm looking for a solution so that I can automatically...
I bought one in late July that had a manufacturer date of mid-May 2006 and it died on the first boot up for me. I bought mine from Costco so it was an easy exchange.
The site is mostly for myself so I'm not real worried about designing for smaller resolutions. Maybe this will start a revolution of designing for widescreens. :) Thanks for the other feeds as I forgot about those.
What are some great gaming RSS news feeds? I started up a site where I can view everyone's RSS feeds at once and was looking for some new ones to add. You can view the site if you want at www.gamerfeast.com. It's just a minimalist design mostly so I can get all my news in one spot so I really...
I would like to burn an SWF to a DVD for a presentation I am doing. I know that Flash 8 can export to AVI, and then I'm sure I can use Nero to burn those AVIs, but I had a question about resolutions.
The presentation will be played on a mix of HDTVs (1360x768) and standard LCD TVs (800x600)...
No idea about Replay, but Dish offers the 622 receiver which has an HD DVR built in and works great. You can get about 30 hours of HD recording and has a fairly nice interface.
Who gives a crap? Unless you own enough MSFT shares for this to directly affect your wallet, I don't see why you care. Some people will buy Sony, some will buy Microsoft, sit down, shut up, and enjoy your console.
Just remember you get what you pay for. I'm sure you could find some college kid or someone to do this on the side for a few hundred dollars. If you went with a tried and true web company, that has developers and support staff, it would be a few thousand dollars with a design and the application...
