HDD I/O error

Replacement HDD arrived today and started the process. Estimated time is 1,618 hours?!?! Is that for real? Edit: size is 500 GB

Friend's Vista computer went boom. 1) Attempted startup recovery, but there are no OS's listed when asked to choose one to fix. I can't connect to the drive through the command prompt either. 2) Connected it to my system as a secondary drive. I see it listed under Explorer and hardware...

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried Google App, but it's unable to search notes. Google Mobile's search function does not include the contact's notes either. :-/

Damn! Whats up with the unlocked iPhone 3g prices on eBay?

Say I buy an iPhone and register for the phone service and activate it. Could someone remove my SIM and insert theirs and have it work? Too easy?

If you read each listing carefully, they are actually not "unlocked." The sellers will unlock it for you if the dev team released the hack or what-have-you before the auction end. So, $900 for a plain old 3G iPhone?

Global Search App for the iPhone

I've been looking for an application with the ability to search all contact AND NOTES within each contact. I used AgendaOne when I had a MotoQ, but that can't be used for obvious reasons. Is something like this in development or released? Thanks.

I know you were able to activate the first gen. iPhones on your own, but I think that has changed. Time to befriend a weasel at the Apple or AT&T store.

Blackberry Syncing & Faxing scanned documents

Will selecting "two-way sync" assure that my BB contacts will be transfered into the Address Book and those in the AB will be transferred into the BB? That way both the BB and AB will include eachother's contacts?
