Removing what I believe is a virus from a friend's PC

Also a good idea to check the host file: its in windows\syetem32\drivers\etc unless you use spybot search and destroy and immunize the system, the host file should only contain 1 line 127.0.0.1 localhost this might be different in vista or win7 in terms of content...

Hey Guys, I jumped on the Vostro 400 deal and I received it yesterday. Specs: C2D 2.33, 1GB DDR2-800, 8800 GT 512, 250GB HD, 16xDVD/RW, 20" Wide LCD, Vista Home Basic, dual boot xp for gaming. Anyway, the big concern about gaming on the machine was its cheap(foxconn) mb and low power PSU...
