Well, I formatted the drives and have all the jumpers on master...put each drive on it's own channel, but I'm wondering if there's a problem with having too much space. Both drives have 40 gigs and I'm raid-ing it 0...so will have a virtual 80 gig hdd. Would there be a problem from that...
Hello, I was wondering if it's necessary to format the drives before setting up the raid to work. I have 2 40 gig Quantum drives set up on different channels and went through all the setup for a raid 0 setup...but I don't see the drive showing up as a drive....it's like it doesn't exist...
OK so what's the deal??? I was going off of outpost's $40 mir for 40 gigger...and I got 2 for my raid system thatisn't working yet cuz I'm still buying all the other components of my system. Anyhow, I'm hoping to get my money....
does cd-r media really make that much of a difference? My opinion is that the cd burners are more of an indicator of the quality of the end burn.....I've had many bad burners and hence many bad discs....but then I used the same discs in my new plextor burner...and things work so much better.
