You could disable “ERP” or “Wake on PCIe” in your BIOS. Those settings sometimes let components stay partially powered through display cables like DVI or HDMI. Worth a shot if the fan noise is bugging you.
I wouldn’t try that. The Strimer V2 is not rated to handle the wattage the 12VHPWR connector needs. It might look cool, but you could risk your GPU or system stability. Better to run the 12VHPWR adapter directly from the PSU.
I had the same problem before—turned out the USB 3.0 cable I used was charging-only. Switched to a proper USB 3.0 data cable and it worked fine. You might also want to check if your phone is set to "File Transfer (MTP)" mode after plugging it in.
