Video display problem

On an oldish PC, I was running a MX440 AGP (4x I think) card with the 56.72 drivers. The card finally gave up and I was able to get a used FX5200 card. Since they would use the same drivers, I simply swapped cards. All seemed to work fine, except for video in all users who have limited rights...

Sound card manufacturers

You can always download the drivers from Creative and save 20 quid. Warning - slow servers, large downloads. Nothing preventing you from downloading first and if successful, buy the OEM?

Why doesn't my PCMCIA SD card reader recognize the correct size of my SD card?

4 GB SD out for 2 years? I thought they were just recently released. The 2 GB ones have been out for some time. I had a mjor problem with my old Transcend USB 1.1 7-in-1 card reader when I popped in a 1GB SD card. Not only did it not work, the ******* reader corrupted the card, resulting in loss...

I do not think you are getting what we are trying to explain here. Getting 'digital' speakers for future proofing is absurd. The DAC in the speakers is not going to be better than what you may get in tomorrows sound cards/chips. If you are going to buy x-fi and digital speakers, you are...

Believe me, from mp3 there would be nothing you could hear which would make any difference between x-fi or M-Audio Revolution or on board sound with medium / high end computer speakers. Just go by what Soundman says - he has given you excellent advice. Actually it may be the other way around...

Why wont this HP Printer Install?

If it stopped working suddenly, it could be a printer malfunction. Have you tried switching off the mains power to it completely to try and reset it? Or run a test print (not fax).

Strange problem with Audigy 2 ZS, can anyone please advise

Not too sure how you achieve this. I think you need to disable your onboard sound in bios before adding your sound card and installing its drivers.

USB devices don't initialize on startup

After updating your bios did you load setup defaults. Usually I find that whether Intel or AMD, if I do not do this, invariably I get usb problems with kb/mouse, etc. Edit: After loading setup defaults, save and exit, re-enter bios setup again for custom settings, if any.

Search this thread... It IS there on the CD. Just simply insert the CD after XP has finished booting. It will find the driver and install itself and the yellow exclamation will disappear.

I am using 1006. Since all is working properly, have not bothered to update to 1010 or 1013. However, I believe most people are happy with 1010/1013.
