Thanks man! Points well taken...
By the way, I just reversed the fan orientation and it did seem to improve overall temps! But I will try to observe further as it is already past 12 midnight here at my end and it's raining so ambient is kinda lower than usual.
By the way, will a tower air cooler be a better option? I mean, front fan intakes, central fans via the CPU cooler for more airflow inside the case, and finally a 140mm exhaust that should pull hot air out of the case...
A friend of mine suggested this also but I am a bit concerned with dust build up...
My plan is to replace it with Zalman 9900DF (coz' it matches my rig's theme  ) and then have a 140mm exhaust back... I believe 9900DF's performance is pretty decent already. I think I could fit D14...
I slightly modded my case, removed the side panel vents and replaced it instead with an acrylic sheet (plexi-glass) and had put some LED strip. I might just be the only one that is a fan of LED lights nowadays but I just like it (kinda personal taste) for some reason.
As a result, my temps...
Ok, great! But pardon my ignorance though, in what instances that AVX extensions will be used? Are there any particular software or application used for this or by this?
Would like to join this thread as I am also pondering on Haswell but before I do, I'd also like to get the "facts" about Haswell temps for real.
At stock clocks/voltage only, is Haswell generally hotter than Ivy? I am particularly interested with 4670K vs. 3570K idle and load temps...
Thanks!
Seems aligned...
and it does fit perfectly...
it just doesn't get detected (most likely due to lack of power)... 2.5" drives should have no problem I guess...
Kinda curios, can I use the USB 3.0 (USM) cable of Seagate external HDD and plug a regular internal HDD on to it? Will it fit? Will it work? Will it not damage the HDD or USM cable?
Appreciate your inputs.
Thanks!
Just like you, I too wanted to go ITX but the only thing holding me back is that I have a PCIe soundcard as I can't bear typical on-board Realteks (ALC8xx series) really...
However, I am starting to see the light at the other end of the tunnel............. ASUS ROG Impact... ;)
Will wait and...
If the price is right for this little monster, this will blow away the competition. My rough estimate for this should be around 300 USD (hopefully). But in my side of the world, I will expect this to be somewhere around 350 to 380 USD. o_O
