Computer crashes about 15 times a day...

Yep, bad PSU or memory problem would be the first suspects I'd look at after determining it's not a spyware/virus problem. Question though: Was the computer working properly before or have you had this problem from the beginning?

Yep, good company w/ easy RMA. I'm just wondering, if for example, someone RMA's an LCD because it had a dead pixel or two, but maybe less than five, or whatever the minimum is for it to qualify as being defective --- do they fix it, or just sell it as a refurb since technically it doesn't...

172X looks like a very nice monitor from reviews I've read, but a bit pricey for a 17in. I assume you are mostly going for the 12ms response rate?

Okay, well at least I'm not going nuts, others are seeing it too. Just seems too steep of a change to be random though. Has to be a cog in the pipeline somewhere for prices to go up that much. Either that or the memory mob families are in collusion, heh heh

5900SE worth dumping for Sapphire 9800PRO (OEM)?

My vote is that you should wait. There would probably be a little difference depending on what games you play, but not nearly enough to justify an upgrade IMO ---not unless u just have money to blow.
