TV Tuner/Capture Cards

Heat Problem on old system

If you don't mind a "newbie" question, what is a softmod? Someone on this thread mentioned the card could be softmodded into a 5800 Ultra.

Okay. I got the 61.77 off of NVidia's site. Wow. I didn't realize a driver could make that much of a difference 3DMark03 Was 2886 to 4752 Aquamark3 was 24317 to 36428 Thanks for the tip on the drivers!!! This is a great card for $109 IMHO.

I uninstalled the ATI drivers and the ATI control center. Using Add/Remove Programs. I uninstalled the card itself from Device Manager. Then physically removed the ATI card and installed the XFX card. I'm using whatever nVidia drivers came on the XFX disc. Where do you control V-Synch? In...

Okay. I got the card installed tonight. I had no problems with the installation other than forgeting to remove the coverplate from the PCI slot it took up. Its definately a two slot card. You gotta keep in mind I'm upgrading from a Radeon 64MB DDR VIVO. This was a card from before Radeon's...

I just received this very card. I will be installing tomorrow night and let you know. I'm thrilled to get it. You also get a 12 button gamepad with dual analog sticks with it. The bundle comes with Commanche 4, Ghost Recon, Power DVD. Graphics Core 256 bit, Memory Interface 128 bit

After much reading and searching here's what I've come up with. I would think my best bet would be go a little over budget and pick up the 9600 PRO. Is it really worth two times as much as the 9550? How does the Pro stack up against the nVidia I've located? Is there another card in my budget...

I don't have the $270 now. I have about $100 and games I can't play on my Radeon64. The price quoted was at my local computer store. For various reason, I can't purchase from internet vendors (I lack plastic).

I need a card to get me through until the 6600GTs come out in AGP. I'm thinking spend as little as I can to get myself gaming in Madden 05 and save my money for the GT. Looks like my cheapest option is the Verto GeForce 4 MX 4000. For about $70. What are you thoughts
