i tried this with my new laptop using a 30 ft cross-over cable
windows keeps saying 'local area network connected 100mbs' then 'a network cable has been unplugged' (back and forth)
the network works when connected but stops when windows says 'a network cable has been unplugged'

yes it's the same as the dell one except for three things.
1. the dell only has a 1 year warranty (the samsung has 3yrs)
2. the dell does not rotate like the 191t does
3. the dell one is rebranded (says dell) duh.

you are not using a scanner? i think you can go to the device manager (right click on my computer go to properties, then click on the hardware tab) and remove anything that has to do with your "scanner"
this is a wierd problem... have you considered that it may be heat related. i know sometimes when my room and my computer get hot my computer crashes and i have to let it sit for a while and let it cool off before it will boot again. i am overclocking though.
hey i just broke my scaphoid too.. about a month and a half ago. i got my cast off last week, not too bad, except for the whole not being able to write part. i didn't get a full arm cast although from what i've heard you're supposed to. mine healed pretty quickly and i'm doing lots of stretches...
i think XP is looking for a dhcp server or something over the network. if you have an installed eth card and nothing is plugged in to it this may be the problem.
speaking of frys, they have a futura 19' monitor for 319 after a 50 rebate, i went to the store and checked out the monitor and was impressed with its quality, does anyone know anything more about futura monitors?
