Fan Controllers!

The Zalman 9500 comes with a Fan speed controller, the FanMate2. It has a rather long cable adapter that will even allow you to place it on the outside of the case, with wires running in an out. I personally don't use it, but it has rotating knob to vary the speed. Hope that helps.

Is it worth it to buy pre-overclocked video cards?

In my mind, you can't have a good business model unless you are doing this. I have to think that eVGA is speed binning somewhere. They either pay nVidia to do it, like XFX, or they do it in house. I suppose they could go ahead and put all the chips on the boards, and then test them...

Is it worth it to buy pre-overclocked video cards?

This tends to go against my logic. I thought XFX gets select chips from nVidia, or they test them themselves to see what speeds they are stable at, and that's how they determine which OC model they go in. So if you buy a 450/1320, then that lends me to believe that it was tested and wasn't...

7900gt fan won't quiet down

My XFX 7900GT is running 100% all the time as well. It's definatly the loudest thing in my case. Luckily I bought the VF900 at the same time for overclocking, but now it appears it's going to help me substantially with noise as well. :) Can't wait to get home to tinker. :D Is it me or is...

Need help with DVI issue

Ok so maybe I've fixed it. Late last night before turning in, I just decided to plug the DVI-I cable into the DVI-1 port on the back of the card, and boot the computer. Nothing on the screen, nada. So I let it go until I could hear windows booting to the desktop. Nothing... nothing...

P180 PSU - which one?

Good to hear. I just got the same PSU and Case, and I'll be putting it all together when the last components arrive tommorow. :) I didn't do any research either, I know I probably should have. I just happened to pick 2 good products that work well together. :D

Opinions on the VP2030B?

I can tell you that the max refresh rate on the VP2030b @ 1600x1200 is 60Hz. Limited by the drivers and possibly hardware. I'm not sure if you can hack it into doing more than that, but I'm not going to bother trying. 60Hz on my LCD is not like 60Hz on a CRT. I'm going to assume it is...
