My guess is only one of the cores can handle the overclock, while the other core can't. I don't think the 4800 have that much headroom for overclocking anyway, so as soon as you start bumping the multiplier, you're probably pushing the chips too hard.

I agree with most people in these forums that LiteOn's are the best value for the money. In CRC tests my Yamaha CRW-F1 just barely nudged out my 52x LiteOn burner, and the LiteOn one is half as much.

I know they won't count the MSN, especially if you do in-store pickup.
