actually, everything was there. even the wii sports game, never even opened. its just the store's (hastings) policy, that when you sell something back to them, or trade it in towards something else, they resell it at a nice price. in the case of the kid that traded his wii in, he was stepping up...

are wii's really that hard to find still? i thought the frenzy had kinda died, as all the stores that sell video games around me have them in stock. i got lucky and found a used one at one of my video game stores for 150 bucks, a few weeks ago. i couldn't believe it.

Taxnet - File Federal Tax Return for FREE.

i used taxact. it was like 15 bucks for federal, state, and e-filing included. i thought it was funny, at the end, for a fee of 29 dollars, they would take the cost of the program out of my refund. or, i could just pay 15 bucks, and be done with it.

gameznflix.com 3 out for $12.75

i've had gameznflix for a couple months now, with no problems. although the turn around time seems a bit longer than it should, meaning i send them a game and i know it gets to them on the second day, but they don't process it till the 3rd day, or maybe the 4th, i always get the games at the top...

Microsoft extends Xbox 360 warranty

i can't say for sure about those of us that bought the extended warranty, but i just called to check and see when the warranty ran out, and mine doesn't expire till 2010. and i bought mine on launch night, so i'm assuming they extended those as well.

just got an email from toys-r-us saying my order than i used google checkout on was cancelled. but the order i paid full price for, got from the tru website, was shipped. my advice: if you really want one, don't use gco on this one.

they shipped mine out to me on friday. which is rather weird. i ordered one using google checkout when they were available, actually available on the site. almost a week later, i get nothing other than "order is in progress". but i used this to order one and its been shipped already. weird.

Antivirus question

i must have been confused by his thread then. my lappie seems to me to be pretty powerful, although maybe not top of the line, certainly its pretty decent. i have no problems running any programs, its just norton feels like it bogs it down. i don't want to uninstall it and try something else...

Free Kaspersky Antivirus from AOL

how does this compare with CA EZ trust? i currently use mcafee (it's included for free with my DSL subscription) but i imagine there are better utilities out there. I may stick with mcafee, as they give me a free firewall as well, but i don't really need a firewall as i run through a router...
