You peeps have clearly not been up to the far north then as it can get bitterly cold up here :(.
For what's its worth, we have her school on board with this, they have her best friends remind her that she cannot get out of the school until the jacket is on, hood up and the jacket is zipped...
I would rather my sister did not get cold so no, that does not bother me. And tbh, it doesn't bother my sister either as she's always wearing trousers instead of dresses.
A bit of advice would not go amiss and would be greatly appreciated instead of these silly or cheeky comments I'm getting.
At the end of the day, I'm the one in charge of this situation as parents work so sister has to obey my request. Plus, winter is coming so its a safety issue as well...
She tells me that when she is at school she has to zip it up as well because her teacher doesn't want her coming back into the classroom dirty from rolling around in the mud :O.
If you mean so we get her to put her jacket, hood/hat, gloves and scarf on inside before she gets out then yes we do, if it's her hood up instead of a hat on then we do that as soon as she sets foot outside but everything else is done inside.
And in reply to Darwin, yup I'm 18.
That is what I end up doing after about 5 minutes once I have accepted that she won't obey me lol but, in fairness to my sister, she never tries to unzip it, instead she sulks.
Oh yes, they have told her that she won't get out when it's cold or a loss of certain priveleges such as her playstation.
We have even sat her down to explain that by zipping her jacket, she is going to be nice and warm in winter.
No, she does not need to be spoon-fed, or anything else, she's fairly independent!!
It's just that she needs to be asked to wear and zip her jacket, especially during winter.
