I can't explain why, but replacing my VGA connection with a DVI-D cable solved the problem.

I will try this over the weekend. Is it as simple as going into Device Manager, selecting Display Adapter, and selecting Uninstall? If so, what's the best way to reinstall? Should I simply re-download the current AMD CCC? TIA

I can't say more that it looked funny. The monitor says it's doing things, but nothing changes visibly. I did not find any aspect ratio setting. I did try other resolutions without any benefit.

I unlocked the monitor buttons by pressing the menu button for 15 seconds. But nothing helped. Not auto identify. Not reset. Not changing screen resolution. One curious thing, however, is that the Dell menu reports actual resolution as 1920 x 1080, even though Windows "screen resolution" and...

The only button on the monitor that works is the power button. Pressing any other other buttons results in a locked padlock appearing on the screen.

I did try right-clicking on the desktop and selecting "screen resolution." As with AMD CCC, while I can choose a different resolution than the one the monitor is designed for, 1680x1050, the result is distorted and, at lower resolutions, overflows the screen.

IIRC, the Malwarebytes report did not identify an infected Windows file. Indeed, my understanding is that PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs) are not themselves viruses. Is it likely that, in deleting the files identified in its report, Malwarebytes would have deleted some additional...

Antec Sonata III v. Lian Li K1B v. Cooler Master Sileo

The Enhance PSU is interesting, but I'm put off by the 90-day warranty. I'm planning to buy towards the end of April. All else remaining the same, unless prices change in the next couple of weeks I think I'll go with the Sonata III.
