pro2a users near extinction

I've got a Pro2a aswell, running a Duron 650 @ 685 (6.5*105). I tried running it with the FSB at 108, but no luck, got lockups when looping 3DMark. I've been considering doing the pencil trick for a while, but I've been scared that I will mess something up beyond repair. But I probably will...

Best MOBO for the $$$?

>Buy a Duron 650 with a MSI K7T PRO2A That's the exact combo I ordered a week ago! Should be arriving this week. Those Duron 650s are CHEAP! Maybe I will even be able to hit like 800-900 with it, then it would sure be much power for little $$$!

Quick Problem with Java...

I don't think there's any problem with the code. The original code (without any Import-statements) worked fine when I tried it. I still think it's only a matter of passing the wrong argument to the Java interpretor.

Quick Problem with Java...

Are you sure you are running like this (when you try executing the java program): >java Blah and not : >java blah or >java Blah.class or something like that. Only the first syntax is correct! Common mistake that can be made. Atleast from a quick glance that seems to be the problem.

narrowed down to 2 which should I get - ABIT kt7-raid, MSI kt7pro2a

I'm also about to make pretty much the same decision. I have been doing LOTS of research (hardware sites, messageboards etc.) and I'm still more undecided than ever.. The ones I'm considering are: ABIT kt7 ABIT kt7-raid MSI kt7pro2a Asus A7V and if I have the patience to wait yet another...

C64/128 owners... What was your favorite game?

Ohh.. C64 memories! Just too many games to remeber.. International Karate Defender of the Crown (hehe, it was kind of easy, just took like 30-45 mins to win the game, but still GREAT game) Bubble Bobble Last Ninja games .. and many more! The most fun thing about the C64 was programming it...

Should I start with VB?

Actually I agree with the guy earlier who said starting with 'straight' C was the way to go. By doing this, you get to learn the real foundations of programming, not jumping right to the GUI-driven way of programming (VB). But ofcourse, maybe I'm just stuck in the 'old' ways since I learned...

ePSXe is out.

Although not free, I must say that the Connectix Virtual Game Station is the Playstation emulator that have impressed me most. I've played both GT2 and Tekken 3 quite a lot using it, and no problems whatsoever. I've also tried Bleem, and while the option of using filtering/higher res, etc. makes...
