Agree 100%. I actually went ahead and got some TIM and other things from Amazon too while I was at it, spent about $575 today. :p I think I'm moving to Amazon for PC stuff now, since they also can connect to ThankYou.com, I have over 100k points on there.

I went with Sapphire. I actually asked if they could ship my dead card back, they said I can't. Forgot to add that to first post. EDIT: At the very least, let me wait a few days for a new card, or give me some options..

Stock i7-4770k overheating on water

I realize you tried with stock cooler too, but mounting the H100i did you only hand tighten the thumb mounting screws or did you actually screw them in? When I first received my H100i I only did the thumb screws hand tight and had the same issue, but the instant I properly screwed them in...

I've updated mobo BIOS to rule out some things. I'll try portable linux, I tried LinuxMint but it was very glitchy, even on integrated graphics. :/ But first I will try 13.11.

13.11, I couldn't use any older version for it not supporting R9, and AMD says it's latest.

I'm using straight DVI to DVI. The black screen never happens until the SECOND the display driver installs. As soon as it at least tries to install, screen goes black, yet my monitor still shows it's getting a signal and does not go to sleep mode.

I have no other GPUs. :/ I contacted Sapphire and they just responded basically saying they don't know, and just RMA. :/

Yessir, I only flashed the BIOS after the problem happened and I was trying to eliminate problems, such as a corrupted BIOS. Mind you I never flashed to 290x or anything, I only flashed with the BIOS on Sapphire's site.
