Im using the CMI 9880 onboard sound. it claims 7.1 with dolby digital live.

Ok, i have a mobo with a SPDIF header. i have a reciever with SPDIF in. what i need is a SPDIF port (optical or coaxial) that connects to the header pins on my mobo, and allows me to then run a cable. ive loked, but cant seem to find any. what i have in mind is alot like the gameport PCI...

pci express Sapphire x800 pro

i have the PCI-e x800pro vivo and could not get it to unlock. *shrugs* oh well. OC's great tho.... 561\561, from 475\450.

Question about ATI X800PRO VIVO (no, it has nothing to do with the pipe mod!)

ok, so the yellow one is the vivo connector. what does it connect to, and what is it's purpose? if it carries audio, could the other connector be a passthrough conn.?

Question about ATI X800PRO VIVO (no, it has nothing to do with the pipe mod!)

OK, here is my question: on an X800PRO vivo, what are the two cable hookups on the card for? one is 4-pin, yellow, right next to the external power hookup, and the other is white, 3-pin, rihgt behind the PS hookup. to me, these look like old-style, locking CD-audio ports..... do these...

well, i jsut bought one of these from Ebay, 25.50 with shipping. will let y'all know hgow it works when i get it. i am more concerned about the noise level tha anything... i hope this was a good choice..... if not, oh well.... price was to good to pass up tho....

Pictures of NEW R580!

i got a VIVO x800pro PCIe from new egg recently (4\5\05), and could not get it to unlock.... it does overclock excellently though.... 565\565 36C idle 65C load stock cooling....

Turn X800 Pro into X800 XT PE with Bios Flash

yep...runs like a champ.... i am dissapointed a littlle tho.... the 16P mod was the main reason i bought this card, but for $259 from newegg, i cant beat the performance with a stick.... especially from my old pc *lowers head in shame* PIII 600 with a 4MB S3 virge chipset... lol.....
