Anyone else not impressed by tablets?

I have an HP tablet. Only reason I have it was because of their close out price, cost me a little over a $100. No way I would pay more than that, especially over $500 for one. Like you said typing on them is a PITA. Although I have a cool ant farm :)

Janitrol Furnaces

My concern would be that the furnace is 22 years old and not so much the brand. Janitrol is alright and you can generally find parts for them fairly easily, but working on a unit that old can be dicey and quickly become a money pit. Maybe have a friend or pay a hvac guy to look at it for you.

Have you ever bought eyeglasses from Costco/Walmart?

Circuit City closing 69 stores, clearance sales Wednesday

Employee tardiness problem........

In most cases circumstances come up and people should be given a break. However, from what you say this is a habitual problem. Even if it's only 5 minutes, there is a lot you can do to save 5 minutes. If it was me, he would be gone. Are you sure he does a good job? Or does he slack off...

Need CPU upgrade advice.
