My buds and I at Shawn's Forum need someone with the Wolfenstein MP test to act as a dedicated server so we can play a game or two. If you wish to do this, just post in this thread and I'll give you a game name to create. Many thanks :)

Uninstall Win 98?

You should just be able to stick the 98se CD in there and basically do and update to the OS without destroying any apps. BTW, 98se isnt much different over 98 so if it's not necessary I would say why bother.

Making VIdeoCD in Nero

I'm having trouble with it. I have the proper format of videos, and it allows me to burn them and all, but when I put them in my DVD player it says the disk is unreadable. It is a VCD compatible player too, because there is a little symbol on front that says so. I notice that when I go to...

286 as a server of some sort?

I have an IBM PS/2 286. Its running DOS 3.3, 8mhz under the hood, etc. What I was wondering is, is it possible to use it as some sort of server, either FTP or web, without running linux on it? Also, it needs to have a network card. Anyone know where I could find such a thing for this ancient...

Can't Use FTP in WinXP with Firewall enabled.

Because all your other ports are being blocked by the firewall except for 21 and 80(web browser). Set your FTP proggie to use port 21 and that should solve it.....

Can I get rid of this in Windows XP??

You know, that litte message in the lower right hand corner of the desktop that says "Windows XP Professional Evaluation Copy" I have RC2. Im not trying to pirate it or anything, I just find it annoying to have it there plus it intereferes with my desktop wallpaper. Thanks.

Help! Network with Linksys BEFSR41

Never mind, I solved the problem. I changed some setting or something, then restarted for the umpteen-billionth time and it worked! :D
