recovering Raid 0 drives from old laptop

This is true. We recover RAIDs all the time and never require the controller card to be sent in, ONLY the disks (unless its a DROBO or something with some smart/beyond (stupid) RAID configuration).

    RAW SATA HDD File Recovery

Thanks Recovery Force. I too also agree with your statement about critical business data. We could start a new thread about the practices of some of the data recovery companies (I would never mention any names) that I know for a fact that advertise and claim SOC and security audits, yet make...

    RAW SATA HDD File Recovery

You can be whoever you want to be especially when not using your real name, however eventually if you're not who you say who you are, it will come out. Plus its not hard these days to find out who's who with Google. On another note being the PM of Australia must be a very demanding job.

Our clean work area has passed ISO 4 CLASS 10 standards, and certified for ISO 5 CLASS 100. We have shipping and data protection procedures in place that Fire Departments, Police Departments, FBI agents, Universities, major corporations, and all kinds of clients are perfectly comfortable with...

$24,000 for a RAID 5 2TB recovery (ok SAS drives, but still) ...... I'm choking here, trying to call 911

    RAW SATA HDD File Recovery

How big were the storage containers and what type of drives were they if you don't mind me asking! We work the same way, less harsh on the rates though.

Need help troubleshooting Acer Aspire EasyStore H340

This is my question as well: "Are these RAIDed." I'm assuming they are, and this point is crucial in knowing how to get the data off. If you don't know for sure I can probably figure it out for you if you tell me the size of each disk, and how big the storage container was that you were saving...

    my 3TB seagate stopped working

Glad it's working! Make sure to keep the data backed up and do not rely on this drive for anything. I would RMA it, because once a drive has an issue it's likely to continue down that road. And your health test shows it's still got issues.

    BSOD windows 7

This will tell you if it's in fact the hard drive or not. You should be able to. Your product key will still work as long as you reinstall factory version or the same version Win 7.

Spinrite is the last program you want to run on a damaged or failing drive. Or for data recovery at all. SEE RecoveryForce's post above

    BSOD windows 7

you may want to check out this Microsoft Link If you have any data on the drive that's important you may want to pull the drive and slave it to a machine to get your data, if you don't have it already backed up. There is a potential you have a problem with the hard drive and this would also...

    SAMSUNG SM950 PRO NVMe SSD

For what it's worth, try to stay away from SSD's using the Sandforce controllers (these are designed/manufactured by Seagate) as they are not supported by data recovery technology at this time (only a handful of the older ones). If you are going to use a SSD with that controller then make sure...

Samsung ultrabook won't boot to windows

Did you put the old hard drive back in? When operating systems get stuck on splash screen or during boot up, this often is a sign of a failing hard drive, or at the very least one with bad sectors (which also ultimately means failing). A failing hard drive can also sometimes prevent the...

    Computer freezes

Even the first one, and potentially the second one... Someone once brought me a hard drive to recover, and after a little bit of due diligence I found out someone told him to take a screw driver and tap it on it's side and that might fix his problem, so he did.....

Diagnosing I/O failure (failing SATA controller)?

1st off make sure you backup all your data to a reliable external device. Then try to see if there is a firmware update for your SSD. Check your RAM. Turn off the machine, pop it out and re-seat it. 2ndly your computer is giving you many clues as to what is going on here. "The IO operation...
