No.. seeing as how that's you know... more then 1U? :) People tend to forget the nice thing about these is, no licensing hassles.

Is it true that PHP doesn't handle very large sites well?

To be honest, larger sites should use JSP and ASP.NET. Now php is excellent, nice fast little scripting language but that's all it is, and if you just want to script it's perfect for that, I think better then anything else I have seen for web scripting. The problem comes in Large sites because...

SunRays

Now SunRays are thinclients, really cool, that can connect to a central Solaris server running expensive software. My question is, is there a way to connect them to anything besides a SUN Server, or without SUN Software(the server isnt nearly the stickler the software is).

which storage sub-system for my new rig?

Neither ATA or a single SCSI drive will sustain anywhere near a 100mb/s most I ever heard was 60g/second on a 15,000RPM fujitsu. Anyhoo there was a study I read on slashdot that basically said SCSI makes no sense unless you have a server with many users reading/writing at once. AKA for home...
