The remote that came with mine is very difficult to make work -- have to press the flat contacts with fingernails to get it to respond, and haven't found a reliable way to point it that will work. Replaced the battery to make sure it wasn't that, and still had problems with it. Just sprung...

Can I connect a gigabit switch to my router and still use the internet?

Philips Home/Office 12 Outlet Surge Protector -$350,000 Equipment Warranty

I'm afraid I don't recall the brand. And the total amount wasn't huge as I only replaced the damaged components -- motherboard, sound card, and a couple other smaller items. Might have only been $400 total? Worked for me.

Our house got hit by lightning about 5 yrs ago and I had my computer connected to a 10y/o surge protector. Fried a number of components. I called on the warranty, and they had me send the unit in for testing with a diagram of how and what was connected to the thing at the time of damage...

System hiccups... annoying

CPU is E6300, HDs are: WD 1gb (WD10 01FALS-00JB7B); Seagate 1gb (ST332062); WD 320gb (WDC EACS-00D6B1) WD 1gb is C: drive and was recently upgraded from a smaller drive (ghosted to new drive). The problems may have begun about that time. Video is GS7600 something -- older card, did clean...

System hiccups... annoying
