Huge U.S. drilling platform is tilting. It now sank. :o :o

Add that to the fact that the platform was not even online yet. I don't see how this would affect gas prices.

Gaming performance difference

You guys totally avoided the video cards. They will have a greater impact on gaming than the processors. MR 9700 > MR 9600

Best config for Dell 9100 laptop

Well, considering the 9100 uses PC3200, you would be degrading performance by a good margin if you dropped in PC2700, unless you could overclock it to PC3200. For the video card, if you plan on gaming with this laptop I would say go for the 128meg 9700 Pro, or if you can afford it, get the...

just got an M18 9800 mobility vid card - can i fit it in a non dell laptop?

The Mobility Radeon 9800 is a 256meg card. It's an 8 pipeline design based off the X800 line.

Any reason my 2600+ non-mobile wont do 200? :(

Really? I thought the 2600+ runs at 2.08ghz stock with a 166fsb. So 2080 / 166 = 12.5... or am I missing something? Edit: ok, nevermind. I was looking at a Tbred 2600+. Sorry.

Mobile 2500/NF7 O/C venture

Good to hear your running at 200fsb. Now start upping that multiplier. Damn, talking to you guys with mobile xps is really tempting me to get one... just wondering how much real world difference the extra 300-500mhz will make.
