Hi.
I got the chance to buy either of those basically new from a couple of locals. You think the lacie is a better drive ?
Honestly I always had purchased WD drives.
Thanks
So turns out the case I will be using, will be blocking the first PCIe slot.... (silverstone DG11).
I was wondering if the 2nd slot will crippled my 3070 or if realistically, I will be fine.
Thanks
PS a different case is not an option.
Hello,
I am going CRAZY with all the options these days. Coming back to gaming for CSGO, COD MW mainly.
This WONT be my main monitor as I do photo editing on a BenQ PD3200u, so IQ is not a big concern although I wont mind if its decent.
I was pretty much set on the XL2540 after reading a lot...
I dindt say I only tested with flash drives. I used the same devices on my other windows 10 and the files transferred at USB 3.0 speeds so to me that is a good clear test.
As it turns out, the USB 3.0 port itself is not working under windows 10. While my flashdrive would score high on CrystalMark, neither of my Portable Drives will be recognized as USB 3.0 plus when transferring a big file, the Flashdrive will run at 35MB speeds.
The hub is powered.
So that is why...
I am just going to get two long extension USB cables for the rear ports and a regular USB 2.0 hub for my slow devices and call it a day. Seriously how can they mess up this bad for what is otherwise a nice OS... :/
Ok so I was able to get one of the Hubs working (brand VEMONT and no model part). It only works on my Laptop though. On my main PC (both running windows 10 64its) still wont run at full speed.
One thing I notice is that on Device Manager my laptop shows it as Generic SuperSpeed Generic USB Hub...
So, I have two USB 3.0 hubs and on two Windows 10 computers I have tested, I cannot get it to run a USB 3.0 speeds.
If I connect the testes device like flash drive directly to the USB 3.0 port on my computer then it runs around 125MB but the moment I plug into the hubs, they run around 35MB...
It seems simple enough so just checking if there is anything I should be concerned about.
This is the steps using MiniTool:
