Email hijacked

There are scripts/malware on facebook/myspace that can also do that. It uses your cached credentials to hit your address book, but doesn't really take over your account. I'll get odd spam from friends, and I'm pretty sure it comes from facebook/myspace...

Anyone CISSP certified? Question on study materials...

I also used the Shon Harris AIO book. But the most helpful was the cccure.org website. Go through all the forum posts and practice quizes. I had a friend who lent me his Logical Security CISSP videos which Shon Harris was also in. (She owns Logical Security) I watched those 2 or 3 times...

Software package to track computer theives?

We use Computrace at work, which is the Corp version of LoJack. It's pretty amazing, I can use geotracking, wifi triangulation and IP resolution and see where my machines are. If they get stolen, they have a recovery guarantee also. They wipe the machine, and reinstall Windows, I can see all...

More electronics fail

You can't check a battery with just a multimeter. A dead battery will probably still show 12v, but can't provide any amps/current. If you pulled the battery and took it to a shop, then can put a load test on it to see if it bad or not...

$68 1TB Internal Hard Drive

I have a Fry's and pay taxes locally here, so I went with NE! Pretty good deal. I went with Fry's when they had that 1TB WD Green drive for $59, which with taxes is similar to this. Not bad at all. :)
