Windows 8 is pretty good

and what makes it so terrible and everyone whine? No start menu? :rolleyes: I haven't had any problems with it. No driver issues, no crashes, nothing.

Are there any £100/$100 cases you really like?

Done a few builds with the Corsair 300r. Nice construction, good cable management, and not super heavy. I like the look as well, but you need to fill in the side panel with some fans to touch it up. Define R4 is another.

But why do two steps? Handbrake high profile preset does exactly what bbhaag says. h264 with AAC audio in an mp4 container.

Best way to rip Blu-Ray & DVD

In the past I used a program called DVD Shrink to rip my DVD's to the computer. It also decrypted the DRM. I still have that program's installer somewhere, but I believe the software is discontinued. Therefore, I am not sure if it will work for Blu-Ray discs. I am helping a family member...

Uh maybe you should go read the first page. The OP was excited when he got his new stock iMac. Then he complained that it had a 5400rpm drive... Then he said it was just a 'temporary' model. Who spends money on an low end iMac just to get a new model later when released a few months down...

iPhone 4 If you plug it in at all it will tell you that. I did not charge it once. I used it watching some videos on Youtube, reading, listening to music, text, etc. Screen Brightness is in the middle and background refresh is on. I think the battery life got better with the last update...

your paying a lot for OS X huh... :rolleyes: If your going to spend money an iMac get an SSD or even the fusion drive. External hard drives are so cheap there is no reason whatsoever to skimp out on the internal drive. It's your money, but clearly you don't know how to spend it well.

My stance has not changed. If your going to spend money on an iMac, why would you settle for weak internal components? 5400rpm drive, really...? You think it's convenient to replace it down the road? Your already paying for overpriced hardware. Might as well pay a little more.

AM3 vs FM1 stock cooler

I can tell you the FM2 cooler is quiet. I read so many complaints about it being noisy and it's not at all. The AM2 and FM2 coolers have been great.
