Any non-TN 24'' LCD good for gaming?

I will agree with that. I have played COD 2, HL2 w/Ep1 & Ep2 and Rome Total War. I couldn't be more pleased. Like Buck, I see no ghosting, smearing or input lag. Plus the NEC 2470 is great for my photo/video work. The perfect all around monitor. I'm surprised it does not get more kudos in the forum.

"use driver cleaner"

OK, I think I understand the good and bad of a driver cleaner. My question is: Is there a recommended/reliable driver cleaner to download? I hate the idea of installing something that will cause more trouble than it cures. Thanks,

Another "please advise" plea: 24" gaming LCD

I have mentioned this before in this forum and have seen little in support but I highly recommend the monitor I use: NEC 2470. Crisp/clear letters when reading documents, excellent color balance, multiple easy settings for different uses, eg, movies, games, text, photos. Great warranty/support...

Capture Card

I have been searching also and have found that almost none will translate analog video to DV if you are running Vista. So be sure to check on compatability.

Dell 2405FPW not powering back on with s3 standby mode

EVGA 8800 GTS blackscreen

I have similar problems w/my 8800GTX but happens coming out of sleep mode. the driver notes say it is a known defect but I wasn't looking for info on startup. You might want to check which driver version you're running and look to see if it might be a limitation of the driver.

PLEASE stop the truncation

Especially for the casual user who isn't hitting the forum every day the truncation is very annoying and discourages cruising thru the various categories. It also makes Anandtech look a little unpolished in their execution.
