I did, but it only goes down from 7 to 6 so it's not a big change. Still stays at the same 59-62c range.
The Tom's Hardware article said that the maximum for this processor is 75 and that the ranges I'm in are fairly ok... what does he base that on?
I have a DS3 with an E6300 (1066mhz) CPU. I cooked it to 474 and it's stable at that (RAM fails at 475).
It gets pretty hot, though. I have an Antec 180 case and a Freezer Pro for cooling, which do a pretty good job of venting out the heat produced... but the cores themselves stay at 60-62c...
I can't update the BIOS for my GA-P35-DS3 (rev 1), no matter what I do.
I have the f4 BIOS currently. BIOS protection is set to auto (not enabled). In Q-Flash, it reads the f6 (or f5 which I also tried) BIOS but says it's bad before updating. In windows, using the bat file, I hit go, a dox box...
Is that all? There's no performance/stability difference?
I see that the GB site only has drivers for rev 1, are they compatible with 2?
So, would you guys say you're satisfied with the board in general or would you go for a different one given an option?
Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the P35-DS3 Rev 1 and 2? How can I tell which I am getting?
Also, does the board being out of spec mean anything for a normal consumer? Will it affect the wireless router I have near the case?
I see some problems are still prevalent with this...
