Question What kind of motherboards do you like?

I guess the Meg X570 Ace I have now has pretty good layout, and I like the UEFI design/support. My only complaint really is how the wireless antenna is designed (which I rarely use). My X99 Deluxe is another nice board, but the wireless antenna and also the m.2 placement are a bit odd.

Changing the noise suppression processor did not fix the crashing, but I do still think it was driver related. After the one crash I had tonight, I looked in driver settings and changed the game profile to default from RX eco, formerly Hyper RX. No crashes since but I will keep an eye on it.

GOG one click mods.

This isn't necessarily the reason. There are lot of older games on steam that support mods, with or without DLC, but many never had the steam workshop added. Some have the workshop added later though, such as SWEAW. That game continues to receive great support nearly 20 years later.

Question Need help trouble shooting memory error

So I was looking through this thread again, and I looked up the model number in your post. No exact match, I assume you mean the E4-2697a v4, (a 16 core CPU) but I did find something called the E5-2679 v4, which is a 20 core, and I didn't know this was a thing before. Rather odd how the numbers...

Yes that is Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. It used to be sold on steam and on DVD, but it isn't sold anymore, it is now abandonware.

Well it still has the issue with ETQW crashing at stock clocks. I turned down the GPU boost clock, and it seems to behave better, at least hasn't crashed again in ETQW.
