How about a sticky on HTPC case recommendations?

I'm looking for an HTPC case that is both affordable (<$200) and will accept a ATX mobo. Would appreciate any recommendations. However, while searching this forum, I didn't come across a sticky on HTPC case recommendations. Not sure how to begin a sticky on that topic-- any interest?

iTunes 7

Didn't understand one thing. Does iTunes with your new iPod work fine on laptop only? So it's a problem on your desktop machine? The slow loading/freezing sounds like your new iPod could be having a problem I recently ran across.... the connector to the iPod harddrive sometimes comes loose...

Here comes the dreaded price cuts..

What socket type is Conroe supposed to mount to? LGA775? If someone were to buy a mobo today-- would they be able to upgrade to Conroe in current socket w/o bios upgrade? I hope to buy a S939 Opty-- so I hope AMD does reduce prices... but I can *see* that it may not have to.

Setting up Benq FP202W

My wife gave me a Benq FP202W as a gift. I've set it up, but now all my images look stretched. I have it set to max resolution (1680x1050) but still- images look stretched. Can anyone help? Is there a way to adjust the Aspect ratio? Also, I have a Nvidia GeForce 4MX-64Meg video card with the...

Firefox Help

I have downloaded and installed version 1.0 & prior to that 1.0PR. I've modified my user.js and about:config, to include the "browser.urlbar.autoFill" boolean and set it to true. Still doesn't work. Would appreciate some help.

Flash KT7 with KT7A bios?

In re-reading Anand's review of the KT133A, he stated that it was a KT133 except now the mobo's were "certified" to run the FSB at 133Mhz. So I'm assuming that Abit put a better quality resistor etc... to get to the KT133A. A quote from the article: Nonetheless, in late December 2000...

Flash KT7 with KT7A bios?

Since the KT133A is basically a "certified" KT133, could I just flash my Abit KT7 with a KT7A bios and obtain 133Mhz bus?

Newbie MB Question

I have a Kt7. Generally love Abit boards. This one caused me trouble getting a network card and modem installed. Abit has been removed from AMD's recommended list. I've setup Asus boards as well. I'd recommend the Asus or MSI board at this time.

Problems with my Asus A7V133 motherboard

Yes. If you're in windows and you have a sudden lockup, usually this is a video issue. If you get a blue screen it could be a memory issue or otherwise. If the system goes black, it could be mobo. If you can't even boot, it could be a bunch of things, but I'd start with power supply, memory...

Reformat HD when upgrading to new MoBo?

I don't think you'll have a problem. Just back up your system, switch over and then "see" what happens. Of course the clean way is to reinstall windows. On the other hand, if the install of the new mobo causes problems, than you could wipe windows and start all over. Soooo, it's...

Can someone throw me a bone here.....

You're kidding right?! 1. Lock the bios with a password. 2. Flash to latest bios. 3. What operating system? Win95? Win95 sucks at continuous running. Too many memory leaks. Should get a reboot every few days.
