Problem with 4870X2, what to do?

Yeah after doing some thinking I'm just going to buy a set of GTX 460's. Been a long time since I've used an Nvidia card. Should be interesting. Thanks for all your help though.

Yeah, it stays at 100% on boot. What is weird is when I formatted last, before installing any type of drivers or anything, the fan was still spinning at 100%. And right now, I can open up CCC and it will say the fan is at 100%, if I lower it to anything else, like 30% for example, CCC or...

Problem with 4870X2, what to do?

I've taken the cooler off and reapplied MX-2 compound and cleaned out all the dust. It didn't make a difference. The weird thing is that it used to run a lot cooler, but has been getting hotter and hotter the longer I've had the card. I've also flashed the bios with an Asus one and that did...

Can i use this to hook up my Xbox to my PC monitor.

I bought an x2vga adapter.. I think the website is x2vga.com I've been using it for over a year now with my monitor and it works perfectly.

new video card requires a few boots to get it going.

I just bought a x1900xtx and had that problem. After flashing my motherboard to the lastest BIOS that problem went away. Running a Lan Party UT board with ATI chipset. Now if I could just get the dang drivers to load, I could actually use the $700 video card.

Omega doesn't seem to have drivers for x64. I am going to install Windows XP 32bit and try to load the drivers from the cd and see if I can get them to install on that version of windows. Even though the cd has a x64 directory and so do the drivers I downloaded from HIS. I need to make sure...
