Trying to install Windows 7 on a PIII Machine...

I was also getting the "cmos checksum error" with 3.15a. I did the flash using winflash. However, I redid the update using the available ISO file (boots off CD) and that resolved the error.

I just got this motherboard. There is a 4 pin power connector on the motherboard in between the PCI slots. Am I supposed to connect one of the power connectors from the power supply to that? Or is it to connect additional power cables to for power of other devices like hard drives? Just...

I was talking about flashing to 2.60a from http://www.pc-treiber.net/filebase.php?lim=10&cat=22 instead of the official 2.60 bios. how did anyone else install this bios?

i tried flashing the 2.60a bios, but when using the dos flasher, it says that the file is not the right size even though it is the same size as the official bios. I used a boot floppy created by Windows XP format command. Is there some other flasher I am supposed to use?
