Got it working from scratch again.
Connected TV ->
restarted windows to make sure it detected the TV(didn't on initial plug-in) ->
Under settings in display properties selected extend desktop and highest resolution shown for display(1920x1080, 1080p)->
clicked apply ->
went into...
Toslink on the upper left(looking at from rear), nice red light ah heck. I had to play with the setting to get the resolution to stick. I believe I had to add the resolution with the TV disabled in properties, then selected the monitor in the nvidia advanced settings tab. After that I added the...
Strange, mine has toslink and rca audio out. I got the HDMI to work at 1360x768. I had to manually add the resolution, unclick Show standard HDTV formats, and after I selected the timing standard(either gtf or dmt), while I had the resolution applied, it works. I definitely noticed a increase...
If I crank up the sharpness I start noticing vertical banding across the entire screen(evenly spaced), but only on the vg input. I got a dvi->hdmi converter, but am having prbolems showing anything other than 1280x720. I can set the display to 1280x768 and 1360, but the tv detects it as a 1080p...
My local store had it marked as $700, no mention of a sale/discount. They had a stack of these screens(10+). Used the 12% discount without a problem(and tacked on $12 worth of Mc Donalds coupons).
Picked up a UHF antenna with inline amp from RadioShack on the way home. The difference was...
Hard to say, my Acer screen has a better viewing angle than the ones I had at work(new 1907s). Both are 6bit from what I've gathered. On those If I'm looking straight on, the upper half of the screen will be noticeably dark and the lower portion will be noticeably light. Only the middle third...
the $30 coupon is located at the store. they had them on the counter of the store I was at, but I've heard them being placed otherplaces throughout the store. Just ask an employee about them. The 12% off coupon is located online as a printable pdf.
I haven't heard of any problems using both...
Exactly, it doesn't say + it's a budget lcd + 8ms = most likely 6bit panel. the thread over at Fat also seems to agree it's a 6bit panel, good for games but not that great for photoshop use.
Most manufacturers won't print the color bit depth. If they do it will read something like 16.2...
Just got back with one. Used the new $30 off $150+ purchase(they have theses out by the counters in most stores, b&w photocopy) and the 12% customer apperciation coupon from staples.com. Walked out the door for $207($157 AR). Mine was an al1916asd(asd = DVI) some stores will just have an...
Not if you flash the bios to 1.2 bios or use the ocwbeta1 or 2 bios (ocw has a great asrock thread going). Anything over 1.2 will cap the bus at 274, as you may have noticed. I just installed the ocwbeta2 bios and am sitting on at 275mhz :P. Looks stable.
Now to reinstall windows on my...
Yep I know. I've been following the Asrock thread over @ [ H ]. I doubt I won't be able to hit atleast 2.3ghz. That should be a decent upgrade.
If I splurge on a PCI-E video card down the road I'll most likely be getting a new mobo also. Just don't have the cash flow right now.
Time to retire my Athlon XP to the parents. :)
Hopefully I'll be able to hit 2.6-2.8ghz with the opteron 144 & Asrock mobo(hell if I'm going to part with my 6800gt)
DoD:s is fun close quaters battles. BF2 is a different bread all together and doesn't excel at foot to foot combat(hello ice skates). Its a great game, but so is DoD.
if you are looking for decent prices look to www.bhphotovideo.com or www.buydig.com. buy dig usually has the lowest prices out of anyone I look at. nothing jaw dropping, but still solidly priced.
