How come Pre 1995 honda/accura/toyota always have ~100k miles?

Depends on the driver and how the car was used... I have a BMW from '87 with 'only' ~170,000 on it. The really high mileage cars probably all went the way of dodo as they become too expensive to repair over the years.

*hugs* internet. While I'm on a roll fast food too. To HAL9000: That's interesting you were referring to the OS. I split my time between classes (and developing) for both Windows and Linux based systems. I guess I couldn't imagine a world without a largely prevalent Windows OS.

What seemingly "important" things would you be fine with removing from the world?

I'll understand windows as in glass panes; interesting, many in the developed world would have to certainly make a lifestyle change. I'd probably dump almost all television shows, only watched a couple series as a kid and don't have cable, satalite, or even a regular OTA antenna now.

I'd say the Pacific NW and Seattle in particular comes pretty close to your requirements. It occasionally gets hotter than 85 in the summer and occasionally colder than 40 during the winter, but otherwise its nice here. To the poster above mentioning the rain and humidity, while it does rain...

What's your used car hunt been like lately?

Yeah the market does seem to be pretty bad, but it can also depend on what you're looking for... I actually just bought a used audi for 3k under KBB, but it was a stick that the dealer had on lot for 4+ months (according to Carfax...)
