Hit by rogue anti-virus trojan - help needed

DSL Speed

In ANY home where it's more than 2 boxes / lappy's, 3 + is the way to go.. after that, add an additional Mb to every other device...this is to avoid network bogs and possibly headaches when EVERY device is connected...^like that post said as well that Jack has, upstream DOES matter. <---5 PC's...

Got a trojan, think I cleared it - check my log?

^but wouldn't you want to do a system repair with the OS disc?...a trojan can be a pesky one, depends, but still to be on the clear side, let it repair, and it'll do a CHDSK and you'll know if things are ok....(that's unless you've actually encountered rootkit malware)

Dell Laptop literally exploded... looking for next steps

WOW...as I read this, I immediately unplugged my laptop (or was her's running, just off the battery?) fearing the same...lol.. what a crazy event that had to be....hopefully this isn't going to become a trend.

MSE and Avast are about the same, no winner...all have specific qualities that make them different. As for your cleaning, files are missing, so how about pop in the O/S disc and repair. Otherwise, looks good. Any concern about a process, you should check here...

Best and most stable wireless router?

DLink IMO are the most crappiest...maybe I'm wrong, but from experience, I'd rather go the way of Linksys, even with stock. I currently have both DLink and Linksys, Linksys with DDWRT. Best thing I could have done. (To Jack, I don't believe if it's an issue with it being, casual or hard user...
