I need a new video card to power a new 4k 60hz monitor with audio (HDMI 2.0) on an old computer. My Asrock Z77 Extreme4 motherboard has an available PCI Express 3.0 x16 Slot. I do not game, but I do photo editing. I am just looking for the lowest cost, quietest, and lowest power consuming...
DisplayPorts...got it! Thanks for the help! I am only planning on using dual displays with this computer, but I wanted to know what my options were just in case. Thanks again.
The manual states that only two built-in displays can be enabled at the same time. Is this a limitation of the motherboard? The CPU that I have (i7 3770k with Intel HD 4000 graphics) is supposed to be able to power three displays at the same time. I should be receiving the hardware next week...
Thanks. I always try to update the firmware on new devices, but sometimes I forget on hard drives. I will not be forgetting with SSD's now that I have had some minor issues with an OCZ Agility Series OCZSSD2-1AGT60G.
I am putting a new computer together and I need a boot or OS drive. I have budgeted around $150 and want to put in an SSD that is around 256GB. I have not kept up with SSD's and need some advice picking out a good one. My time line is a little bit flexible, and I want the best deal I can find. I...
Dropbox's limit is much too small for my needs. I am thinking about using the "offline files" or a batch file with "IF" statements to execute a synctoy or rsync job if the ping comes back positive. I could then have windows run that batch file every ten minutes or so.
Now I just need to figure...
I have been using a synchronization program that would automatically sync several folders across multiple computers whenever they were both turned on. All of the computers are connected to the same local area network. I have recently learned that this program is not reliable, and I am looking...
Thank you for the recommendation and consensus. I never would have thought to pursue the OCZ SSD as the main culprit. I take it that the problem is mostly with OCZ branded SSD's then?
Rifterut, was your friend able to correct the problem?
I have an Asrock x58 Extreme that I can overclock to around 3.48ghz (166 x 21 and perhaps a little higher too) with all stock voltages and cooling (except the DRAM voltage manually set to 1.654 per OCZ recommendations/specs). My case has fantastic airflow (partially due to the 250mm 100CFM fan)...
So transferring a lot of small files that overlap would take a worse hit than several large files that also overlap due to fewer overlaps overall, although the total space on hard drive required may be equivalent.
