Which 19" gaming LCD for under $600

I just picked up the Dell 1905 based heavily on both a friends recommendation and the Anand review. I really love it so far, and have noticed no problems with ghosting, etc. The image brightness and sharpness are both superb. I know that some here have said that this isn't the best gaming...

Installed Win XP SP2, now Win XP won't shut down

Ram question

Your links don't seem to be working, but I can still tell you that whatever you have is probably fine. RAM timings don't mean much in general, and they mean even less on an A64. Check out the article on Tom's from earlier this year if you don't believe that. Spending lots of $$$ on low...

Socket 754 - 2x512meg or 1x1gig

It's hard to say. You may pay more for the 1GB DIMM, and typically they don't have the best timings, but that's not an issue really for an A64. If you plan on upgrading past 1GB, I guess it's better to have a slot left open, otherwise, 2 512's is probably cheaper and better.

AMD 64 and Windows XP SP2

Having fun trolling are we? That's not what the KB article says. It says you MAY have trouble using DEP if you have a hardware device that requires Mpegport.sys. Not exactly the same as "It just plain won't work":disgust:

Comp System upgrades

I wouldn't bother with the Audigy 2 platinum, the regular A2 should be fine. And I can state from experience that you should just get a TV tuner card. I got an AIW 9600XT for pretty much just what you stated and it's definitely overkill for just watching TV. Not to mention that I could have...

New System build

I wouldn't bother with 939. If you upgrade in the future you will almost certainly want a new board to go with your new CPU. The 3400+ should be fine. The rest looks good.
