You need a Y adapter RCA to 3.5mm female. You then plug the green one (I think center/sub) into the female connector.
I'm researching this right now too as i just got an HD DVR and have the same jack problems as you. I'm wondering if I'm able to get 2 Y adapters and plug 2 of the channels...
XFX GeForce 8800 GT Video Card - Alpha Dog Edition
Would something like that be a better fit or will i still need to get the P2 chassis for this?
Thanks again for your help!
EDIT: Also want to squeeze this bluray/HDDVD combo drive into it, if I have the budget.
Awesome! Thanks - this was exactly what I was looking for! :)
And sorry about being fussy - I'm used to people trolling forums all day from some of the other forums I visit.
EDIT: Also real quick - I asked in my OP whether you think that the vid card i linked to will fit in a Shuttle...
I apologize if this thread is loaded:
1. What YOUR PC will be used for: Gaming, storing my movies/games/MP3s, room HTPC (TV hookup may not be possible as our provider is DirecTV from my limited research - additional thoughts on this are very much wanted)
2. What YOUR budget is: I want to...
No, it's an efficiency thing. Sharing servers w/ creative isn't working - we are having constant issues and our IT staff's answer to every issue is "reboot our PC" or "reboot the server."
Just trying to get better performance out of our server, if we can't from our IT folks. :)
Thanks...
To be quite honest I'm not sure, but I would assume NT. Hardware I have no clue - I will ask my IT dept and find out.
I'm thinking I'm looking for a general answer really - once I have an idea I can start the budget approval process w/ our finance dept.
Hey all, I need a favor from some of your more technical peeps out there. Currently, my company uses a MS business solutions-based system for our accounting software. We are currently sharing a server w/ our creative dept, which naturally bogs our server down a lot.
The reason for this...
Specs:
Dell Inspiron 6000
1.6 P4
60GB 7200RPM drive
1.25 GB RAM
64MB x300 radeon
I just recently bought more RAM and a new hd for my laptop and decided to try installing Vista build 5270 on it. After taking a good 2.5 hours last night to install i boot it up and as it's logging in it...
Check this out. Seems like upgrading the TiVo drive is extensive - and limited to 274GB recording space. Yes, I know that's a lot, but i hate limits. :)
I'm still not 100% sold on TiVo being better for me than HTPC. The versatility and the other possibilities with an HTPC are far more...
Another thing I wanted to do that I failed to mention was run Orb on this so I can watch shows when I'm out of town. Unless there's a hack way to do that on TiVo, that sounds a little difficult.
