Ah ah heck, completely missed the RAID Utility manager.........just gotta delete the RAID in there and then format the drives as singles. Nvm, nothing to see here, move along.

My 1.435v wasn't Prime stable, had to go up to 1.450v. I'll see if it lasts overnight later, had to turn it off cuz my wife was complaining the computer was CHUGGING LMAO. OH well. Looks like 3.5 GHz is probably the upper-ish limit for B3's (and that's with a 965 mobo), unless you juice up...

Ok, finally cranked this baby up a bit. Here's the info: -Q6600 B3, L644G513 -378 FSB x 9 = 3.4 GHz (so far) -Gigabyte 965P-DS3 Rev.3.3 (ya baby, no P35 here!) -1.4375 vCore in BIOS (haven't tried lowering/optimizing yet) -Swiftech H2O I'll try 8x and 7x when I get a chance to see how...

Setting CPU Affinity

Setting up my new Q6600 tonight and am considering assigning certain cores for certain applications, etc. I know how to change CPU affinity, but anyone know how to "save" those settings, to ensure when I restart an app it will use the assigned core I set? I've tried +affinity CPU1 in the app...

AGREED!!!! Post which mobo, I REALLY wanna know how these do on 965 vs P35 boards. I'm putting my new Q6600 in my Giga 965-DS3 tonight, I'll report back with info by tomorrow. Then waiting for my new P35 to arrive and see how it compares :)

Thanks Mark for getting the thread back on topic ;) Anyone here have a G0?? It *seems* the B3's can do 3.0-3.2 depending on your cooling (my Swiftech will do just fine), and those speeds are nothing to be ashamed of. Honestly, you get the best of both worlds.....high clocks (slightly higher...

Ya Backlash that would be great, I'll follow this thread to check your results. I read a couple posts elsewhere that the B3's are actually doing pretty good, and temps are rather "low" for a Quad. I wonder if the hype for the G0's isn't justified? I'm not convinced that squeezing out 200...

So, with my 6300 running @ 3.4.....I don't really need an X6850, so a Q6600 is probably the way to go. I hear that the current B3 steppings being sold should let you hit 3.0-3.2, with the G0 around 3.4-3.5......anyone verify this? Am debating whether to get one now or wait. I checked...
