    Gainward GF4 Ti 4200 - Test

I've got my 128 meg Gainward Ti4200 running happily at 310/560 From 275/520 I increased the memory at 10mhz at a time, ran 3dmark benchmark, looped the demo for a while, played some games, and surfed the net -- always keeping a close eye on the screen for graphical anomolies. The following day...

Going from TNT to Ti200! Do I need to reformat?

Nah, you don't need to reformat. But you do need to get your system ready for the new hardware: 1) In display properties find the 'adapter' tab and change to 'standard vga' 2) reboot 3) in add/remove programs remove your TNT drivers 4) shut down computer 5) put in new videocard 6) turn on...

    "AGP fast write" & GF4Ti4200 128mb

Well, my old Geforce2 GTS supported AGP fast-writes so when I got my new Gainward Ti4200 this week I assumed it did too. And I guess I was right since it works fine with fast-writes turned on. Nope. Not in my experience. I ran a test with my GTS with fast-writes enabled and then disabled...

    GF4 lockups - please help.

You added alot of new hardware. Did you format your hard drive and re-install your operating system on your new mobo or did you simply transfer your old hard drive onto the new motherboard? If you answer the latter I would highly recommend a fresh install of Windows.

    Aopen GF4 ti4200 or MSI GF4 ti4200 ???

Are you thinking of the 64 meg card or the 128 meg card? I haven't seen any reviews of either card in the 128 meg variety....but I've seen some write-ups of the 64 meg MSI card and it looks like a great overclocker. Most people seem to be nailing 300/600+ with the MSI which is a nice 20%...

    AOpen Aeolus Ti4200

nVidia specs are for the 128 meg cards to run at 444mhz and for the 64 meg cards to run at 500mhz. All of the 128s seem to easily overclock to 520mhz+ (most people hit 550) while the 64 meg cards will easily overclock to 550mhz with most people hitting 570mhz-610mhz. The 128 meg cards run a...

Which GeForce4 drivers to load (detonator drivers of Chaintech drivers)? Please help a newbie.

You can use either but not both at the same time. I would probably start with the Chaintech drivers since they will be pretty-much up-to-date DX8.1 drivers. And, its my understanding, that if the card has extra features like 3d-glasses or VIVO then you need the manufacturers drivers for those...

    Triplex GeForce4 Ti4200 64MB **3.3ns**, anyone?

There isn't tons of info out there about the Ti4200s since they're pretty new. But from the research I've done it seems that the best overclockers of the batch of 64 meg cards out there are the ones from Prolink and MSI which seem to be hitting 600mhz+ while most of the rest seem to hit about...

GF4Ti4200 64mb vs 128 benchmark comparisons I`d like to see

I haven't seen any benchmarks that compare the two cards but I know for a fact that, in todays games, the 64 meg version is faster. The 128 meg version has 4ns RAM that runs at a default of 444mhz The 64 meg version has 3.5ns RAM that runs at a default of 500mhz Video memory bandwidth is the...

Man, you tried all of our suggestions and no-luck (after quite a few bumps too) here at Anandtech. I hope it's cool to post a link to another forum but the ASUS forum at AMDMB is solely devoted to troubleshooting problems with ASUS AMD motherboards. Good luck with this. By the way, in my...

Need Help - Asus A7V Motherboard

    1) clear the cmos 2) try in both jumperfree and jumper mode 3) in jumper mode, make sure you've got the jumpers set correctly. Check jumper settings on ASUS website. The geniuses at ASUS got the jumper settings backwards in early editions of the manual.
