Serial ata drive only at udma 5?

Same thing here, with a Maxtor and A7N8X dlx, Aida32 reports at Udma5, ata100. Aida says drive is capable of Udma6. :(

2500+...able to hit 2.2?

Check my sig. Built one identical fur a friend, same specs. Won't do 11.5x 200 though. 11x200 is more than enuff for me. I'm a happy camper.

New Bartons are locked?

Got my 2500+ Barton from http://www.ncix.com/ about a week ago. AQZEA 0332UPMW Built the same machine for a friend about a week before that, didn't take the numers down though. Not stable at 11.5 here anyway. Running 200fsb at 11x.

Norton Ghost 2003: Error (1972) "No cd/dvd in drive" at the end of spanning image accross cds.

I am using Ghost 2003 for my backups. I use the floppy to make my images, and put them on another partition. I have many on the drive, and thought I would dump them some CDs to make some space. Thinking it would be good to do an image check, I boot to the Ghost floppy, and stuff in the cd. Ghost...

XP Activation

As near as I know it is all legal, the CD came with it, and the case has a sticker on the side with the number. After low level format of drive and reinstall it said 30 days for activation. Ended up going with win2k. Thanks for all the info, will know better next time what to expect. Merry...

XP Activation

A friend of mine got a computer for christmas, from her husbands mother. Out of the box it had XP Home installed, and was activated. They had tried for two weeks to get connected, it was impossible to install a dialup connection, as the box was greyed out. Anyway, I have reinstalled XP for them...
