cookie host offering $5 dollars a year...

not to thread crap but i took up a similar offer from cookie host two years back and i had really bad experience with them. slow servers, odd downtimes, and really crummy support - you pay for what you get.

MCE error help

update, i ran Memtest - passed 3 times no problems i only get a machine check exception when I play games - so maybe it's my gpu? how can i test?

Internal HDD troubleshooting...

did you assign it a letter? depending on your flavor of windows, sometimes the drive letter needs to be manually assigned in device manager.

HDD woes - old maxtor drive

I've got an old Maxtor drive (80gb) from 2003. as far as I can tell it's working but it's only showing me 7.9gb of space. I've filled the thing with zeroes and all i get with partition magic is a 7.9gb unformatted chunk. is this thing caput? or is there something else i can do?

yeah, I'd love to try out OS X, and these parts work according to insanelymac ok i'm gonna bump my budget up a bit, so i've tried again, lemme know what you think, and thanks for the help keep in mind the most hardcore game i'd want to run would be Bioshock as long as I can run Orange...

Can external hard drive be readable by a mac and pc?

there's a program called macdrive http://www.mediafour.com/products/macdrive/ it lets pcs use mac formated hdds.
