East coast flooding

Flight leaves at 10pm, coming up from the Shenandoah Valley, so we're leaving here around 5:45, two hour drive usually.

*POLL* Do you hate/dislike/distrust Sony?

I'm mixed. I loved my old Trinitron TV, and I loved PS1, and my old Sony head unit lasted like 10 years despite massive abuse. On the other hand, root kits, and PS2 crap design, and junky speakers...I really dislike them now, hate is such a strong word for a silly electronics company.

Why I think the Miami bust is a sham.

I agree. Playing ninja when I was 5 didn't mean I was going to go chop some people up. The article described the men as more like a terrorist parody than anything really dangerous.

Is there such a thing as an actual Christian?

Christians aim to follow the teaching of Jesus Christ. They also draw heavily from the books of those who were close to him, Paul especially. Some things Paul has taught have been pushed aside as the influence of the culture he wrote to, such as the allowing women to preach or talk in church...

WoW patch update! 1.11

The only way I escape these games is selling my account (or not starting in the first place). THe times I've quit I've always gone back "just for a little bit or to say hi" and ended up worse than before. MMORPG-free for almost a year and counting!

Do you agree that women should get paid maternity leave?

Or when they knock up their girl and find themselves struggling to make ends meet. We didn't get maternity leave (my girlfriend was a college student) but food stamps and Medicaid pulled us through the first few years of diapers and fast-food wages. Guess what? Now she's got her degree...

Found a new way to get A$$HOLES to stop tailgating me

When people tailgate me, I tap the breaks to warn them, then if that doesn't do it, I slow down to 5 or 10 under the limit until they back off.

Did WoW take over your life?

I really enjoyed WoW, and leveled 3 60's (I played for hours at work) but the game demands too much time to maintain even a mediocre level of gear. I quit last October. Also, Everquest was more fun, even if it wasn't half as polished and balanced. I'm really not sure why. Maybe it felt...

In defense of Christianity, most crimes committed by the Church in history have been due to a perversion or mutation of the original message, and the people responsible were Christians in name only, as opposed to -being- a Christian. Where does "love your neighbor" fit in with "God hates...

I personally know one of the most extreme examples: The husband is a devout Christian, so much so that he just graduated from seminary and is starting a church. The wife is atheist. This would be a sticking point for a lot of couples, but it appears to be a non-issue with them. They're...
