I'm in the same boat. I have been on the fence between a x470 and x570. There are not many reviews yet of the x570 boards. The chipset cooling fan concerns me. Those little fans tend to be incredibly noisy. Two reviews of X570 board on TPU don't mention the cooling fan at all. One review...

Poll: Ultima is 37 years old

I only played iV. I didn't finish it. I own them all on GOG and I have tried to go back and play them again, but the controls for the earlier games are brutal. Maybe I'll give one of the later ones a try.

Are you using (or planning to use) Crossfire or SLI?

Used to run two R9-290 in crossfire. When it worked it was great. There were too many caveats to keep it though. AMD has since resolved a lot of the issues, but I just don't want to deal with it anymore. I will never go back to it.

One correction. The HDHomeRun app on the Shield does not yet support DRM in either live tv or recording. Only Windows 10 and Xbox One support live tv with DRM. The record engine still does not on any platform.

Does the SiliconDust HDHomeRun CONNECT HDHR4-2US work with Windows 10?

Does the newer HDHomeRun app from the Windows store still require this? I don't think so. I think this was referring to the original standalone HDHomeRun View. I have installed the Windows store app on several Win 10 systems and have not needed to install any third party codecs to get working...

Use LibreElec instead of OpenElec. For whatever reason, most of the OpenElec devs left the project, forking it to LibreElec. LibreElec stays much closer to the Kodi release schedule and is currently better supported. I agree with Kartajan that Plex is better for multiple point of consumption...

I think you are missing his point. Yes, your second link gives you a list of articles from 2014, however, if you click on any of those top three results specifically referring to laptops, they redirect to a 2016 article. This makes it rather difficult to look at the older articles.
