MacBook Pro vs. Thinkpad T-series?

If you don't have a current backup, then take care of that. It may be something else beeping, but generally any sound coming from an HD that isn't "normal" is a sign of potential failure. I might suggest running a utility that does a bad block scan (after you back up your data) to see if...
