Lian Li PC-61 or Cooler Master Praetorian Case?

Praetorian is loud, due to the all aluminum enclosure. I've got silent parts on the inside [Zalman flower cooler for CPU, flower cooler for GPU, Samsung Nidec drives], and it does nothing b/c of the four 80mm fans, and the inherent vibration quality of the metal. I'd think about it before you...

i wanna sleep in quietness...

I've always found that having a "Silent Computer" and having one that looks cool as well is sort of hard. I would also advise against water-cooling. There are many solutions that you can take to get to have a more quiet computer by just using air. My initial suggestion would be to stop each...

The upcoming CM WaveMasterII

I would have liked 12cm intakes and exhausts too. I don't think people want 6 8cm fans in their case anymore - they want to be able to sleep with the computer in their room ;). On the terms of pure asthetics - it looks alright. It's all about getting the case to sell - some people like that look.

Best 80mm Fan? PLEASE ANSWER!!!!

if you don't care about price, and you're not just some panaflo freak, you should try a sample of many different companies. by ethics, i wouldn't deal with silenx, as one of their CReps was faking praise on silentpcreview.com, but i would look into getting nexus, or any low speed yate loon fan...

I need quiet 80 mm case fans for my Coolermaster Praetorian.

i have the same case - i bought a vantec nexus fan controller, and it works pretty well. you also might want to consider getting a quiet GPU fan, as well as suspending your hd to reduce vibrations. good luck.

dude. you're asking for a whole lot of work, in autocad or on graph paper, a lot of cut fingers, and mb a cruddy result. suggestion: mod a premade matx, and fit it to your needs. i'm in your situation with the dorm computer and silence. my current interest in terms of matx cases that fit...

like Mucker said - 80mm are for losers =p. get one with 120s - much quieter, assuming you get the right fans.

im having 2end thoghts on my new comp

my suggestion is to buy mid to high end parts, and not top of the line, unless you can find a great deal for them. the total for my computer was 1500 without a monitor, and i was sorely disappointed in some respects, including a motherboard that i didn't really need, and the fact that my case...

Looking for a recommendation for a CPU fan

get an xp-120 with a compatible motherboard, then get one of these fans: Yate Loon Blue LED fan. Although it's only 7 bucks, it doesn't break 2500 rpm, and it's quiet. if that's not your style, you can also try to get the non-led orange version that only goes to 1200 rpms. it's a big hit...
