A8N-SLI Deluxe BIOS 1015-005

Using 1015 now and not getting BSOD's any longer with Platinum X-fi. I do, however, get the static and crackling that people speak of in the Creative thread I linked above. The noise is not continuous though.

X2 game issue...Is it the same with ATI and NVIDIA?? How many problems are the P-Ds having???

Well, a format and reinstallation of XP + the X2 driver seems to have done the trick for me. BF2 runs smooth as silk now. I have to say, after getting through the frustration, and seeing how smoothly the game runs with AVG scanning in the background........I'm a believer now.

^^^^^ Would you mind laying out the steps you took while re-installing? Did you use the X2 drivers? What order did you install things...etc, etc. One last question, do you have to set affinity after you've reinstalled?

I've tried all the suggested fixes barring a reformat. Nothing has worked. I play BF2 primarily and once I begin moving in-game, I get a lock up, blue screen, and then a reboot.

I just purchased a X-Ray Thunder 9 (rough) and we'll see how it goes. I have to admit, I'm a little leary and wonder if I'll return to the cloth as you mentioned. Problem is that none of the stores in my area have these types of pads on hand so you can compare then in person and get an idea...

Anyone know where you can buy the Razer Exactmat from? The Razer site sells it with a wrist pad for $33 USD. Seemed high. I thought you could get this for roughly $20 USD. On a side note, anyone use the Xray Thunder 8 pad? It's been getting good reviews.
