Hi there i just received my new athlon 64 3000 skt 754 and dfi board with corsair xtreme memory series 3200 http://www.newegg.com/app/View...=20-145-416&depa=1
what is the settings that i should set in my bios for a start to oveclocking?
i want to get 2.4 ghz out of my 2.0 NC processor...
well i ordered the 3000 so i hope i can get 2.4 if not it will be ok i am upgrading from a athlon xp 1600 i know my best chances are with the DFI board and that is what i got ordered maybe i'll just get lucky enough to hit 2.4
does anyone think that i could OC the 3000 NC to the speeds of 3400? or should i buy the 3200 and OC it to 3400 i am going to buy the DFI board with nforce chipset tonight i want to order my cpu/board/memory either way i want a processor that will run at 2.4 ghz i want to order this setup

which socket type do you want?
if you want socket 754 with either the DFI or chaintech motherboard with the nforce chipset great stable board good with OC and stabiltiy make sure to use a athlon 64 3000 not a 2800 it overclocks better
if you go with socket 939 go with the asus K8V deluxe...
